Hannae Pavlik curated an awesome group art show all about self publishing, in the gallery of this store called Home & Planet (25 e. 3rd st) in Bethlehem, PA. It’s open for one more week. She and i presented our distro stores, Golden Hour Infoshop, and The Philadelphip Pictographical Literacy Program. Home & Planet people were nice enough to give me a generous amount of space for my installation. These photos were taken by Jenn Sem. 2009 is the year of the zine. So is 2010. And so on…
This section of the documentary “The Band That Would Be King” pretty much summarizes everything that is pure and good about the act of making art.
i recently released a zine of low-resolution photographs called Listen To The Grand Pastoral Nothing. It’s an homage to the diverse mix of physical, mental, and social landscapes of North Philadelphia, and so much more! It’s an edition of 100. Also, Bonnie just completed one about the Pennsylvania Lottery.
“Helen Keller and the Crips” by Neo Nancy and the Tetrabytes, part of a new sound project by myself, Lindsey Baker, and Katie Elia.
from tomorrow until the end of the month, i’ll have some recent drawings and paintings and trash-picked photographs and flags ripped off of egg cartons hanging up at the rocket cat cafe (frankford and norris), alonside Greg Labold, Jeremy Gecker, Bonnie Brenda Scott, Andrea Grigoropol, Jarmel Reitz, and others. And it also includes a photo of Katie Elia with dreads.
